TOOLS NEEDED: A Phillips screwdriver
TIME REQUIRED: 3 to 5 minutes
Note: Your Deck can be taken apart about 10 or 12 times without wear. You may eventually
strip the housing on the screw holes if you disassemble it more than that. It's an easy fix.
1. Unplug your Deck from the power source.
2. Turn the Deck over and remove the 8 screws on the bottom.
3. Remove the bottom pan.
4. Remove the cord by gently pulling the connector (you don't have to press anything).
5. Remove the 8 screws that attach the keyboard to the housing. These screws are the same
as the first batch you took out, so go ahead and throw them into the same pile.
6. Remove the circuit board from the housing. (FYI-most of the main electronics, including
the micro, are under the spacebar.
REASSEMBLY
1. Lay the circuit board back into the housing and place all 8 screws into place. Tighten the screws-no need to over tighten.
2. Plug the electrical cord in. Be careful of the LED when doing this.
3. Wrap the cord around the strain relief as shown. It's important to have the cord go around both strain reliefs!
4. Take the bottom tray and replace the screw that will hold the ground lug (wire inside with metal loop on it) in place.
(This holds the ground lug between the bottom tray and housing.) Put the screw through the tray, then pass it through the
ground lug, then set it into the "boss" (screw hole) on the housing.
5. Pass the cord through the hole in the housing and finish tightening the other screws.
