So my wife is babysitting her friend's 3yr old today and the kid eventually makes his way my office and within 10 seconds is mashing keys on the keyboard.
I have a Toxic Legend, btw, been happy with it for a few years.
Now, since the kid mashed on the keys, the LEDs won't stay lit. No matter what I do, they always shut off. If I unplug and replug the USB, they turn on for a brief second before shutting off.
If I reboot the PC, they turn on for a few seconds before shutting off.
As far as I can tell, all the keys works. The caps, numlock, and scrolllock keys all cause their lights to turn on and stay on, but the backlight LEDs simply don't work.
I opened it up and cleaned it out, and checked to see if any keys were stuck down, but I did not see any. Nothing happens when I press FN and +. Is there a way I can check to see if the FN key is working?
Please please help if anyone knows what this might be. I love my Deck and I don't think my wife would understand my need for a new one if this ends up being broken.

Have you tried pressing the "FN" key and a number 1 through 7 on the top row of numbers? I am guessing the kid may have pressed "FN" + 0 (zero) which would shut them off completely.
