So here's my vision: LED Deck meets Das Keyboard.

Either completely black keys, or ideally clear keys.

I know some have suggested paint, I was wondering if there is any way to just order a ton of blank replacement keys... including Return, etc?

I know in college, to avoid room-mates using the computer I switched all the keys. This did cause some slight problems as keys were slightly angled towards qwerty. Do Decks have these sort of keys?

Has anyone blacked out their keyboard, leaving just a subtle glow between the keys? How does it look?

Thanks,

-Doc

I have a Das keyboard. Quality build, huge lump of a thing.
Currently in the too hard basket and unlikely to move for while.

I asked before if I could order a whole keyboard's worth of skull keycaps. At the time they said "no" due to the way they produce the keys, they can only get one of each key per set. It would be nice if they did offer one of these options, though.

I agree. I've been wondering exactly the same thing - whether I could get an entire set of blank keys or skull keycaps.

The simple fact is that I never actually look down at my keyboard, and the illumination is only for geek factor. Perhaps if enough people showed interest in this? I was told that custom keycap runs could be made for... a thousand dollars. But assuming there's enough interest or clamor from the customer base, who knows?

Right now, all we can offer is a full set of our stock blank keycaps, which can be seen included in the standard set of keycaps that you can purchase separately. They are black with a translucent white top. For the 105 key, a full set is $25. For the 82 key, the cost is $20. These prices do not include shipping.

Adam will be working on getting them up on the website for purchase. In the meantime, if you would like to order them, contact me through the technical support email address ( technicalsupport@deckkeyboards.com ) and I can manually process your order.....Deck Girl Amy

I have the blank keycap sets entered into our software but I will not be able to make them viewable to the public until tonight or tomorrow. You can still buy them and check out through our website via the following links:

Blank 82 Key Set ($20 + shipping):

All sets will also include a keycap puller for your convenience.
