I have been looking at Deck boards for a few days now, and I have my heart set on the Legend Ice. The webpage describes changing LED's for the perimeter, my question is what exactly has to be done if I want to make my function keys green?

Hi there,
That requires purchasing green LED's, unsoldering the blue one's and soldering in the green one's. It's not too hard, really, if you can solder. You just have to remember polarity issues when replacing the LED's into the switches.....Deck Girl Amy

That helped alot thanks. I do have a follow up question though. I am extremely new to this and I don't exactly get how I am suppose to unsolder the LED's. I thought it was just a matter of heating up the solder and pulling the light out but I was having some difficulties, got nervous and closed the board back up. Sinnce apparently I am an idiot, if anyone could tell me how to correctly remove these LED's it would be greatly appreciated.

You might want to try and use a solder sucker (looks like a baby's snot sucker) or solder braid/wick. What I usually do is heat up a pin, suck as much solder off as you can at one time with the solder sucker, then move on to the next pin and repeat. If you get most of the solder that way, you should be able to get any remaining solder with the braid or more shots with the sucker. Or at this point (once most of the solder has been removed) you can then try holding the iron at an angle and warming up both pins while pulling the LED from the other side of the board. Just be careful not to melt anything inadvertently or burn your fingers, as the bulb will undoubtedly start to warm up.
One thing to remember with the solder suckers is that they like to slurp up solder in big gulps, so if you don't get enough of the solder off, sometimes it helps to add some more solder to the point (counterproductive, it would seem) and then start fresh.

That last solder sucker is great. I have one and use it all the time.
