Has anyone considered or attempted to create a switch that would either activate or deactivate the resistor that is necessary to switch between ps/2 and usb connections?
Based on what I've read, is should be fairly straightforward.
A few short pieces of wire
the required resistor
a dremel to trim the casing to mount the switch
some soldering
and some type of switch
http://www.radioshack.com/product/index ... d=12706318http://www.radioshack.com/product/index ... d=12688388This way, you're future-proofed and can move your keyboard from a desktop PC with PS/2 to get the NKRO, but move it to your USB-only laptop if you decide to lug it to a lanparty or something. When the switch is "Off" current would run through the resistor and the PS/2 port would work. If the switch is "On" the resistor would be taken out of the circuit and the USB port would work.
I've yet to buy my Deck, but this is something I would really want to be able to do. I'm not fantastic at soldering, but I know people who are, but either way I certainly don't want to fry a $200 piece of equipment if it's completely impossible.
Thoughts on the possibility of this being done?
