I haven't found anything in the forum regarding sound control mods. Has anyone performed any mods to enable sound control? I am considering either keystroke increase, decrease and mute or adding a small external device to the keyboard. This would consist of preferably something built in or attached to the keyboard.

Other users have more commonly remapped the keystrokes in their OS/software rather than doing a hard hack. One popular Windows program that has been mentioned here before is KeyTweak. Good luck!

Old thread but thought I'd chime in here. I use a program called Volume Tray. Works great and has a VERY small footprint, it's like a 350KB download.

Hey all,
I thought I would 'chime' in on this as we're on the subject. I recently purchased two Deck 82 boards for the two Macs in my house and wanted the same functionality as a normal Mac keyboard (volume up/down/mute/eject and command keys). I read the previous posts regarding DoubleCommand and KeyboardRemap4Macbook... while both were helpful, it left me wanting more (or less; buggy software, still in beta, conflicts with other USB software, etc). Until recently I was using the two mentioned above along with Steer Mouse and Logitech Control Center... 4 separate applications to control my keyboard, two mice and gamepad.

That's when I found Controller Mate http://www.orderedbytes.com/controllermate/
Now I ONLY use it, and the other 4 applications are history.

While Controller Mate is hard to put into words, in a nutshell... it does EVERYTHING !
I made a brief video below to give you all a glimpse of what I can now do with my Deck 82.

First I remapped some keys I will never use for the built in functionality and gave those Mac specific commands (and using the 'Danger of Death' and the 'Lightning Bolt' keycaps for Volume Up/Down looks neat).
Second, and this is the fun one... I made my "Print Screen" key do the command "Hide Others" from within any application.
