I, like many other gamers here, for years, used the WASD setup for FPS and MMO gaming. However, because this badly bastardized my touch typing (misaligning my left hand) and because it puts more keys within reach of one hand, I've converted to using ESDF controls for alll my games. So...maybe, when you guys get a second, you could make a set of ESDF keycaps with arrows on em?
