Hi-
I'd like to rewire the placement of the Apple/Command key on my Deck fire. Basically swapping the ~ and the windows key. This will still leave the tilde in the wrong place but I can live with that.
I haven't received the board yet so I haven't looked closely at whether this will be possible. I'm hoping I'll simply be able to rewire the actual keyswitch to the traces on the board at the correct location. Anybody have any exeperience doing anything like this?
Thanks-

Nope, but I have seen tutorials on how to modify a game controller to be "left-handed" (i.e., swap the function of the analog sticks). I think this would be along the same lines.
In a somewhat related note, I did try to rebuild DoubleCommand so that you could swap the ~ key, but it seems the version in svn as of a couple weeks ago was broken. Maybe once it comes out of beta, we can get a universal binary made that will do the trick in software.
Good luck with your mod. Let us know how it works!
