Hi, we spoke on the phone earlier about this, and as promised here is a walkthrough with photos of how to reinstall your spacebar with the wire underneath it. If your spacebar still sticks down, please post here again so we can troubleshoot further.
I also apologize in advance...this is gonna be a bit longwinded just so I can cover as much information as I can for everyone to use. It is really a much much easier process than it sounds like.

First, we need to cover the basic parts in this procedure so we are on the same page. In front of you, no doubt, is your Deck 82 board, without the spacebar and the wire with some black plastic parts on the ends. If you look down into the place where the spacebar is supposed to be, there will be 3 holes on either side of a black keyswitch in the circuit board. Ok, now thats out of the way...onto the important stuff!
Below is a picture of the spacebar with the wire and black plastic things just as an example. Ignore the red line for now, its just pointing out which side matches which in the photos. Also, skip ahead a bit if you have the black plastic things still attached to the wire. This section is just in case they came off in the removal process.
The black plastic things have two parts to them. From the picture above, you can see somewhat how they are assembled. Notice the wire and how it enters them. Also, you cannot see it, but the wire snaps into the plastic assembly. Just keep this in mind for later.
Above you can see a bottom view of the black plastic things separated. Note the shape of them. The line shows you how to line them up -- match the small square notch from the part on the left to the shortest 'leg' of the part on the right (If you assemble them as I have photographed them, it would be wrong - rotate the part on the right 180 degrees and assemble in that manner).
Once you have the black plastic things assembled correctly, slide the wire through the open ends of the black plastic assemblies. Make sure it goes through both plastic pieces on each end, and snap into place (if you don't do this, it may not work right when you reinstall it and you will have to repeat the process).
To install the wire/plastic assembly, first notice the wire goes towards the top of the keyboard (this is important to functionality). In the picture below, you can see how to reinstall the wire maybe better than I can say in words.
Two notches of the black plastic things snap into 2 of the 3 holes in the board. Always slide the top notches in first, and then using pliers like I did (or your imagination with other tools if you dont have pliers) gently sqeeze the center section of the bottom notch and pop it into the hole in the board.
Below is a picture of the board with the wire installed, but the spacebar not reinstalled yet to illustrate how it goes back on.
To reinstall the spacebar, place the spacebar over the little cross-shaped pegs (1 for the switch and 2 from the black plastic pieces on the wire). Rock the spacebar back and forth over the tops of the crosses until you feel everything line up. Then, firmly press down across the whole spacebar until it feels like it is pressed down all the way. I stress to you to press evenly across the whole spacebar -- if you do not, it may dislodge part of the wire and you will have to go back and start again.
So thats it! Whew...that was a lot of typing but I hope it helps, and I apologize again for boring you to death with this super-long reply. But anyways, hope it works for you and please let us know how it all goes. Thanks!
