Keycaps for international layouts. Period. At least the major european languages (french, german, italian and spanish).

I'm all for the FPS Keycap set. Having pictures representing different funtions is an excellent idea. Very intuitive and custom.

If the keycap had a removable base, so that you could print whatever image you wanted onto transparency film, then put it into the keycap and close it up, it'd be an easy way to get a presentable design. Here's how I imagine it going together: Code: ____ / \ <--- keycap with transparent top / \
____ <--- design printed inverted on transparency film
____ / || \ <--- key itself (snaps into keycap)
That's a good idea, but let's make it a bit easier to use, as well as cheaper to make. - Move the printing onto the front of fully translucent keys. (Hmmmmm.....Programmable RGB LED backlights for special effects and/or easy key grouping? Expensive, but oh, so cool looking.)

- Make two separately sold kits: one with transparent stickers for those who want a single, semi-permanent solution (and cheapskates.
), and one with snap-on, transparent covers that either have no back, or have a slot at the top-back, and a couple of sheets of pre-perforated transparencies to print custom legends on. (Have a downloadable template for each kit.)
 (Yeah, I know that the connecting strips don't go far enough in my example, but I didn't notice it until I had them already done. You get the general idea, though.)
- After printing and removing extra bits, slip the template under the covers and Voila! Easily customized layouts that can be switched as needed.

Thnik about it! DeadlyDad

volume up, volume down, mute would be awesome and very helpful
honestly, im one of those people who doesn't use the numpad for anything (but the deck 82 is too compressed for my liking) it would be nice if you could make a set of replacement keys for the entire numpad and make it do different things.

I really like to have the little bars (like present on the F and J key) on the U and H key. My keyboard is in dvorak layout and it happens too often that I misplace my fingers. ( do I get two votes if I say "Please!!" ? )

My vote is for a more "standard" font on the keys; maybe Arial or Helvetica.

I'd say larger sized command & option keys and windows & alt keys to replace the keys on the LEFT hand side of the board since the current small key replacements can only replace the right side keys.

I love the inverted keys idea. Nice and simple, and would look amazing on a legend.

Thanks to all who provided suggestions here and via other channels (email, phone, etc). If we decide to create a new set we have the feedback required. Topic closed, may create a new thread somewhere down the road.
