I've been interested in buying a deck keyboard for a long time. And now that i discovered I could have one delivered in canada from perfomance pcs, i'm getting closer to getting one.

BUT since this keyboard has been available for some time, I was wondering if anything new would come up soon that would make me regret buying this 'old' keyboard and not the new thing. My concerns grew bigger when I saw in a thread this quote written by adam: There are some new products/services we will be releasing soon...keep your eyes peeled to our site for updates.

I'd hate to buy one and come back to this website in 2 months and discover this 'new thing' that I would have preffered.

We have a few ideas right now but nothing is in production. If we do come out with a new product it won't be for at least another 3-6 months from what I have heard.

Is tactile made it to the short list?

Tactile switches (Cherry 'white' MX1A-C1NW's) are on the short list, however as I said no production is scheduled presently. I have asked around a bit more and have been told that we may consider this during the second quarter of 2009 so look for more info then.

After long thoughts, I finally bought it from performance-pcs! Can't wait to get my legend ICE keyboard

let's hope I don't regret it when the new stuff comes out!!!

got my deck legend ice today!!!

first thing i noticed when I started the computer was the lighting it's very bright..even at the lowest setting it's brighter then the razer lycosa keyboard I saw in a store a few weeks ago. And when the light are off it's easy to see the letters...again unlike the razer lycosa which are near impossible to see when the lights are off. But the status leds on the DECK could be brighter

the typing(of course i'm using it right now) I was expecting the keys to require a lot of force to press. I can't believe how smooth and easy to press they are. And they make the same noise the old terminal keyboards at school used to do At first I was hesitant to buy it because it was linear, but now after some preliminar testing I don't regret the linear switches at all!!

i've been using it for the last hour to do some work stuff and to post a review of perfomance pcs And so far i'm impressed with the feel and the lighting. Maybe i'll post another review in a few months when i've had more playtime with it.

With Q2 here, your 3-6mo estimate on the horizon and the Ice Legend out of stock... any news?

I ordered my toxic 82 a few months ago and was able to find a gold 82 used. Loving both.

It seems the micro we used on our products went obsolete so we had to change the chip and circuit board which is not exactly a quick and easy operation. We are working on it as fast as possible and I apologize for the delay, keep checking back to the site for updates.

I was ready to order an Ice Legend but saw they were out of stock. I need the Mac version of it. Performance-PCs has the Ice in stock, but no "full size" Mac keys, just the small ones that come in the Mac key kit.

Would you suggest waiting for new Legends to be available on the Deck site?
Or is there some other way to obtain the full size Mac keys that fit on the left of the board?
