I just purchased a Legend - Toxic and firstly, what brilliant color its back lights have. I didn't anticipate it being that bright and was quite pleased with that not to mention I could tune down the brightness levels. Bravo.

Everything was going fine until I noticed that periodically, the keyboard would seem to surge and the numlock light or capslight would turn off. It seemed to me something was cycling the board off then on again.

I tried multiple USB outlets on my mobo (M2N SLi-Deluxe) to no avail. I then decided to see if windows power management was maybe set up wonky, nothing out of the ordinary there.

From that point I decided to connect the keyboard to another computer and what would you know, no flickering of the back lights.


The flickers intervals when connected to the M2N mobo seemed to occur roughly every 60 seconds. I tried multiple USB outlets without any change in the result. Part of me wonders if my mobo is just starting to die but I wanted to see if there were any other theories here (anything else I could check).

EDIT: also note that I have a green razer mouse that did NOT flash when the keyboard did.

EDIT X2: It's got to be the mobo. I connected the keyboard to the front USB ports, didn't hick-up once.

Not sure what the issue with your mobo could be...what OS are you using? You could always try to boot from a Linux live CD to see if there is an operating system issue.

Also it looks like your motherboard model has PS2 ports - have you considered switching your Deck to PS2? You can find instructions for this in the user manual (second page):
