Hello

Im having problem with my Deck Fire keyboard when playing games.
When I press certain combinations of keys, other keys are disabled wile Im holding the combination.

I found out that when Im playing game (like CSS, Halo for PC, FarCry, etc.) I cant reload wile mooving in a diagonal direction. The only diagonal direction that lets me reload is left-back. I also tried using other keys close to the reload button (R) like F and E. I noticed that I cant mele (F) in Halo wile walking diagonally.
I also noticed that I cant move diagonall left-front.

I tried changeing USBs, also tried turning off the lights to see if it was a voltage problem, and I also tried it with a crappy $10 keyboard and it worked just fine.

Im guessing there might be a connection problem on the board.
I emailed Deck's customer service 3 days ago and havent had a response.
I subscribed on these forums to see if its faster.

BTW, I bought my keyboard some months ago, but didnt use it until some days ago, because I was building my PC.

Hope someone from Deck can help me :(

Sorry turok, but there is a known issue with the KB's that casue this problem.

The good news is that there is a fix, but you have to talk with Deck customer support.

After getting an RMA from them and returning my board they were able to fix the problem and when I got the board back it worked great.

Still using it and can't imagine using anything else at this point.

There are a lot of posts regarding this...

Cathy will get back to you as soon as she can, just em tech support again. They have always been very responsive to me so maybe it got lost the first time.

Love to see them fix this on all new boards though...

Thanks man.

I was starting to get pissed with this
Im verry limited on the keys to use in gaming

Each time I want to reload, I have to go in one direction.
I instaled Far Cry 2 days ago and started playing and discovered another key combination that didnt work. I couldnt walk left-front. I would have to walk straight right or straight left.

Hope I get this problem solved soon. Just finished my build and this is the only blitch on my PC

Here is a pic of my sig

EDIT: Changed the previous image into 2 images
that show the PC in an angle shot with UV CC's on
And the room lights on and off.
The first pic was a bit too yellow so I reduced the
contrast a bit (still looks yellow tho). When I took
that pic, it wasnt in the right camera mod.

When they repair the problem,
will they repair only what Im
having problem with or will I be
guaranteed that I wont discover
another key failure?

Why such a wide picture? I have a screen resolution of 1280 X 1024 and still have to scroll left and right to see and read the thread. You can use a smaller picture and make it a link to a larger one you know. Please be considerate of those of us who don't have huge monitors.

Sry.

I do have photoshop, but Its this way because of a case gallery I maid in another forum. I had several images like this (paired) joining in a column so it looks like a 2 column group of images for easier scrolling and posting. I just copied and pasted one links of the pics on the forum.

Ill edit the image so its vertically instead of horisontally

Did I have to post the pic or send it through customer service?
Is Cathy going to post here or is she going to email me?
Sry for being so persistent, but Im going on vacation to Europe in 6 days and I would like to get this done as soon as possible. :(
How is this going to work? I send the package and I get it fixed or a new one and they ship it back?
It would be best for me if the repar is done really fast and shiped really fast or as soon as I send my RMA there,
that I get a new one with a fast shipping time.
If its not possible, then Ill have to do it afther I get back from Europe

Will Cathy send me the info as well? I would like this fix on my keyboard as I am getting "phantom keys" in City of Heroes.

Didn't work for me as I purchased my unit from Performance-pcs.com. I sent an e-mail to techsupport requesting an RMA# and shipping info.

Glad to see another black and red fan here! :D
Is that a Lian Li case? If so how do you like that thing?
I love how that Decks have that blood red light that some of us have been looking for for so long.

I've discovered what appears to be the same diagonal movement issue in FPS games. The Deck staff has been great so far. I'm sure they are busy and Cathy was able to take my call and get my information. 8)

Turok how did your situation work out?

Yes, its a Lian-Li PC65b and I didnt mod anything on my case.
Everything was added or replaced, no cuts on the case.
My main objective was to make a WC solution without modding my case (which is what usually happens when people want to WC their PC)

If you are interrested in more pics, here is a link to a thread of mine in www.xtremesystems.org/forums where I show a whole gallery of over 50 pics where you can see my progress on this project and how it looks at the end.

http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=63987

I tried to make everything match together with a black and red theme with a bit of silver, the deck keyboard played a important role here.

Hope you like it

BTW, the Return section on the site says I have to give some basic info in order to RMA my product.

So what its asking is a description of my problem?

Do I have to put a paper explaining this with my shipping box,
or am I done with the email to customer service and the post here?
